A Celebration of Art and Innovation – “Serendipitous Looks” Exhibition by Guillermo Giagante

Following the resounding success of “Antarctica, a challenge to the senses” art exhibition by our esteemed Vieunite Artist and talented photographer Guillermo Giagante (Guille), he once again captivated audiences in Bahía Blanca with his latest exhibition, “Serendipitous Looks.”

This event showcased the works of 72 of Guille’s online students from 8 different countries, celebrating diverse perspectives and the creative insights of emerging photographers. Hosted from July 23rd to August 2nd, the exhibition was displayed across nine of our Textura digital canvases, offering visitors a vibrant fusion of art and technology.

Impact and Reception

Here’s what Guille had to say about his exhibition and how Textura allowed for a more immersive experience:

The exhibition was a huge success, with more than 500 people attending the opening, and the estimation is that between 7.000 and 10.000 saw the exhibition in the 2 weeks that it was opened.
People were amazed by the unique technology of the Textura, that caused a big impact and interest in the viewers.

Almost 20 photographers travelled from different cities and provinces of Argentina to attend the opening, and 35 of the artists were present to share this special moment with the general public. Some lectures and guided tours were also scheduled during the exhibition.”

Comments from the guestbooks reflected this admiration for the digital canvas:

  • Excellent! The digital canvases have just the right amount of brightness and the colours are amazing. It’s a pleasure to see these photos in this environment and with this technology.”
  • “Every day you surpass our capacity for surprise. Congratulations and thank you! A gift for the soul.”
  • “Beautiful and innovative! Thank you!”
  • “I leave this exhibition with my soul full of happiness.”

Looking Ahead

The success of these exhibitions has inspired exciting plans for the future. Guille now plans to take both exhibitions to different cities across Argentina and potentially abroad. He even stated “This exhibition had a big impact here, and I am sure it will be the same in the UK.”

In partnership with Vieunite, his goal is to continue celebrating art and innovation, creating opportunities for audiences worldwide to experience the unique intersection of photography and technology.

Conclusion

“Serendipitous Looks” and “Antarctica, a Challenge to the Senses” have showed that art and technology can come together to create truly transformative experiences. With plans to expand these exhibitions, there is much to look forward to in the future. Stay tuned for more updates, and check out some of our favourite moments from the exhibition:
