Background
Meta is one of the world’s largest technology companies, known for its popular social media platforms and communication services such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. In September 2024, a senior employee at Meta first identified Vieunite’s Textura Pro as a potential enhancement to their office environment after they saw the solution in use at Oxford University. Impressed by the product’s visual impact and premium design, they suggested introducing it to their own office building to enhance the environment of communal staff areas.
The proposal gained traction internally and was presented to CBRE, the facilities management company responsible for overseeing the building. Once approved, the project moved forward with a shared goal of enhancing day-to-day experience for employees through the integration of digital art.
Challenges
Meta and CBRE had a number of requirements that needed to be fulfilled in order to proceed with the installation. Within the Meta offices the team had also not finalised the location of the display at the outset. Three different locations within the building were being considered, each with varying levels of traffic and visibility.
They requested that the screen needed to suit the office’s modern visual aesthetic. It was also essential that the final installation showed no visible cabling, which would require careful planning given the constraints of the office space. The display ideally would be quick to install so there was no prolonged disruption in the offices.
Meta also wanted the content to be carefully curated specifically for their particular space. The main thing was that there could not be any artwork that people in any way could find offensive. They took this matter very seriously so beforehand we agreed that there would be no artwork featuring faces or single figures.
Due to strict internal security protocols within the Meta building, the screen could not be connected to the internet, ruling out any remote content management or setup.

Solutions
Textura Pro offered the perfect balance of design and performance to meet all of Meta’s requests. We supplied a Textura Pro with a black frame and configured in portrait orientation, providing a subtle yet striking focal point. After reviewing the proposed locations, the chosen site was next to an existing interactive navigation display—a prime, high-visibility position that allowed the Textura Pro to add atmosphere and contrast while complementing the existing technology.
To achieve the clean, cable-free look Meta required, the installation team worked with CBRE to discreetly drill into the wall behind the display. This allowed the power cable to be fully hidden, resulting in a flawless, professional finish that blended seamlessly into the environment. The Textura Pro’s flat power cable and integrated rear groove meant the display could be mounted completely flush to the wall while also hiding the cable.
Meta met with Vieunite’s curation team, headed by our Cultural Director, Benedict Carpenter van Barthold and we presented a variety of Vieunite artists that we work closely with. After careful consideration they selected the photography works of Anthony Webb, whose work includes many scenes of London—a perfect fit for Meta’s UK headquarters.. We curated 30 pieces of his works excluding any that featured faces or portraits of people as per the brief leaving a strong playlist of his work. This number was decided by all parties so it would be large enough to avoid people seeing the same artworks over and over again in the loop but not too large where individual pieces would rarely be seen at all.
In anticipation of the internet restrictions, the Textura Pro was preloaded with all required content ahead of delivery. This eliminated the need for any onsite setup or connectivity, ensuring the screen was fully operational from the moment it was installed.

Results
The completed installation has been extremely well received by Meta’s staff and facilities team. Positioned in a high-visibility area, the Textura Pro has added a fresh layer of creativity and culture to the workplace while remaining entirely functional and unobtrusive.
Emily Phuong, Head of Digital Strategies at Meta, shared her thoughts:
“The Vieunite Pro digital canvases have revolutionised how we engage with our teams and spaces at Meta’s UK headquarters. The combination of stunning visuals and versatile functionality has allowed us to seamlessly blend art, technology and communication. These canvases are more than displays—they are storytelling tools that inspire collaboration and creativity every day.”
By carefully balancing aesthetic requirements, technical constraints and creative vision, Vieunite delivered a solution that has become an integral part of Meta’s day-to-day workplace experience.

Vieunite’s mission is to provide a new online art community that combines an alternative platform for artists to sell their work digitally with an innovate digital canvas that has texture accurate display technology. We want to bring art into everyone’s lives in a unique way to give people the chance to creatively express themselves.
